Note from Organisers
When life affords you a “once in a lifetime” opportunity, you can’t ignore it or turn a blind eye. We sincerely believe that our Lord had a hand in Singapore winning the bid to host the first ever Youth Olympic Games. Many of us sense that as the Body of Jesus Christ, we need to work as one united people to stand alongside our nation to host the best games we can together. We believe we can see the coming of interdenominational churches big and small, together with Christian agencies and para-church organisations all joining hands to bless the world as they descend upon Singapore in 2010.
We also do not want to forget our very own young people, the next generation, as they grow to lead our country towards our destiny. This is a great opportunity for them to stand and shine as stars of the universe. We hope that this project will allow them to showcase their talents, abilities and leadership skills as they participate in the YMTG activities.
The call is for all churches to prayerfully consider being partners with the many who have already signed up to make up the organising committee. We are still in the process of building the team and we welcome you to join us and contribute to making this the best Christian effort ever. We would love to see a community transformation and we know that we can make a difference together.
